On Saturday, May 17, 2025 Mo'zArt Gallery will again sponsor its 5th Annual Paint Historic Old New Castle (PHONC) in New Castle, Delaware. This will be held during the town's 100th anniversary Day in Old New Castle house and garden tour, the oldest in the Nation. Novice and experienced artists may sign up by sending an email only to dyoungarts@gmail.com. Upon receipt a reply to your email will detail instructions where to send your $25 application fee.
Artists may paint anywhere in the Historic Area between 9 am and 1 pm. Judging will commence at 1 pm and awards announced at 2 pm. Paintings may be for sale and there is no commission  and no sales tax charged.  
    As of March 31st the prize money has been increased and modified:
Awards: 1st- $400 (now $500); 2nd- $250 (now $300); 3rd- $150.
Special Awards: Merit Award Award- $100; Historical Society Award- $250. Award of Merit (Novice) $100.
Peoples Choice Award- $100 Gift Certificate for JERRYSARTARAMA art supplies.

The Awards Judge is Marc Antony Williams, the creative and artful chef at Zollie's Jazz Cafe in New Castle. Mark Batty , a board member of New Castle Historical Society will judge the Special Awards. 




To apply to participate just send your intention to me, Dennis Young, at dyoungarts@gmail.com. I will respond with instruction where to send your $25 application fee. Applications will be capped at 30. I will be sending more information and answers to questions to artists via subsequent emails and announcements. Come paint and enjoy what our beautiful town offers.
